We asked one of our Business Development Execs, Connor Notman, how he’d been getting on since joining Managementors a year ago – here’s what he had to say!
I began my career as a Business Development Executive with Managementors in June 2021. A year on, I wanted to reflect on my experience with the company, some personal achievements as well as some significant moments for the business, of which I am proud to have been a part.
Shortly after I joined, the entire company travelled to the New Forest for our Annual Summer Conference, which was a great opportunity to meet my colleagues who work on site as well as to understand the progress from the first half of the year and the plan to achieve our end-of-year target. It was clear from very early on that there is a significant focus on personal progression and the steps we need to take in order to continually improve our own performance, as well as the business as a whole. The most refreshing thing to learn was that suggestions from all levels of the business are valued, ideas from junior employees are frequently taken on board by management and you are rewarded for innovation and thinking outside of the box to achieve results.
Feeling motivated and excited to be part of a high performing team, I went on to achieve some significant results in my first 6 months. The Directors dedicated their time to come into the office to work with me on my own development, helping me utilise the skills I had gained from my previous experience, as well as giving me the knowledge needed to excel in my role. I began working with the Trainee Management Consultant team to boost sales knowledge and share best practice when we had successes, but equally spending time to improve upon the weaker areas.
I’m incredibly proud to see that the work I’m doing is having a direct impact on the company, with two projects with upper quartile organisations being signed off at the start of the year generated from my efforts. It’s great to see Managementors go from strength to strength and the milestone of hitting 25 years in business last year was definitely a highlight. I’m looking forward to continuing my career with Managementors over the coming years and I am excited to see the business continue to grow as I develop with it.
