Harnessing the Power of Automation

In today’s fast-paced business landscape, the ability to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity. Automation not only saves time and reduces human error but also enables organisations to focus on strategic initiatives and enhance productivity. Managementors recently used Microsoft Power Automate to minimise the process steps of an annual leave flow and believe there are lots of functions to it which businesses can use to support their aims.

Firstly, like any project, the focus was on the why which was based around reducing lengthy, manual admin tasks and increasing the speed and automation of the process. Followed by an approach we take with our clients by; critiquing the current ‘as is’ process by mapping this out, developing, testing and iterate the solution and finally rolling it out across the business whilst demonstrating and quantifying the benefits.

Data is imperative for modern businesses, and automation tools can help manage and analyse it efficiently. By automating data collection and reporting tasks, organisations can ensure data accuracy and consistency. For example, you can set up workflows to collect customer feedback, store it in a central database, and generate automated reports that provide insights into customer satisfaction trends. However, despite the ease of being able to implement such tools, the outcome is never straightforward. This is mainly down to the management of such tools which is imperative to the success of the function. How this data is utilised, reported, reviewed, and maintained is down to the individual.

Whilst the tools are important, they need to be used in the right way with a thorough understanding to get the most out of the investment. This is where, as a company, Managementors specialise in driving the right behaviours in combination with the best systems to improve productivity, customer satisfaction and margin performance.
