Enhancing Warrington’s School Meals Service

Managementors is pleased to announce our partnership with Warrington Borough Council to improve the delivery of the primary school meals service across the Borough. The project aims to streamline operations, address key issues such as food wastage, and enhance overall satisfaction for schools, parents, and children.

Warrington Borough Council currently provides the school meals service to 67 out of 72 primary schools in the area, with nearly 12,000 meals served every day. However, various factors, including rising food costs, have created significant pressure on the service in recent years. Recognising the importance of the programme for young children, the Council is committed to collaborating with Managementors and the local schools network to drive these improvements.

The Managementors team is working closely with Warrington Borough Council’s Leadership and Account Management teams, as well as kitchen staff, to improve the delivery and performance of the school dinners programme, ensuring quality is maintained whilst delivering the service in the most cost-effective way. The partnership will provide detailed insight into service operations, as well as streamlining processes, enhancing planning and reporting capabilities, and facilitating greater collaboration across the School Meals Service team, in order to provide the best service possible for young people across the Borough.

Professor Steven Broomhead MBE, Chief Executive at Warrington Borough Council said: “The Managementors team’s work so far has been impressive. Their efforts are already making a significant difference in helping us address both immediate and longer-term business needs, while also encouraging positive shifts in our kitchen culture and workflows.

“I’m optimistic that with the help of the team, we will continue to move in a direction that further support both our quality and budgetary goals.”
