The Purpose:
Following the success of last year’s raffle in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, one of our project managers Dan Nicholson wanted to hold another event to give back to a charity held close to us at Managementors.
This year, the raffle will be in support of St Helena Hospice, who provided care to one of our consultants, Tom Bates’, father and supported the family through the hardest time imaginable. The carers at the hospice were described as ‘angels’ and the last few months were made more comfortable because of the support received from St Helena. This year, the raffle will be held in loving memory of Richard Bates.
The Cause:
St Helena Hospice support members of the community, helping them make their own choices and live with dignity. By focusing on their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, they aim to bring comfort and relief to all those who need it, offering the people of north-east Essex individual care and total support, regardless of their diagnosis or personal circumstances.
With our help St Helena Hospice can…
Provide excellent personalised care to more people in hospice beds and in their home
- Help life go on in the face of dying, death and bereavement
- Reach out based on need, regardless of diagnosis or circumstances
- Empower people to plan ahead, share their choices and achieve their wishes
