Back in Action: Returning to Thrive Charity for Another Impactful Year

LinkedIn

This year, the Managementors team has once again partnered with Thrive, a charity dedicated to using gardening to bring positive change to the lives of those living with disabilities or ill health. Our visit this year was another rewarding experience as we rolled up our sleeves to help maintain and enhance their beautiful outdoor spaces.

A Day of Hands-On Support

Our team took on several projects during the day, each aimed at creating a more welcoming and functional environment for Thrive’s participants:

  • Reclaiming Space: We cut back overgrown hedges to their original fence line, opening up the surrounding area and giving the gardens a fresh, tidy look. This work not only improved the aesthetics but also increased accessibility and usability for Thrive’s programs.
  • Revitalising an Allotment Plot: The allotment plot had fallen into disuse, but with some effort, we cleaned it up and turned over the soil. This essential preparation will allow the plot to be recommissioned, creating new opportunities for therapeutic gardening activities.
  • Clearing Garden Waste: To maximise the available space, we tackled garden waste by burning through piles of debris. This hard work resulted in a cleaner, more organised area ready for future projects.

Continuing Our Support for Thrive’s Mission

This year’s visit was not just about physical work—it was also an opportunity to reconnect with Thrive’s inspiring mission. By transforming outdoor spaces, Thrive enables individuals to build confidence, develop skills, and improve their overall wellbeing. Knowing that our efforts contribute to this positive change makes the day even more meaningful.

Looking Ahead

We’re proud to continue our relationship with Thrive and look forward to supporting their incredible work in the future. These charity days are not only an opportunity to give back but also a chance for our team to come together and make a tangible difference in the community.
