At Managementors, we take pride in giving back to our community, and this year has been no exception. Our team has had the privilege of volunteering at Treloar’s on several occasions, contributing to the remarkable work they do for young people with complex disabilities. Each visit has been a powerful reminder of how even small acts of service can make a significant impact.
A Rewarding Experience
During one of our recent charity days, our team engaged in a variety of activities aimed at supporting Treloar’s students and staff. We started by harvesting lavender, a task that provided sensory benefits for the students.
We also got hands-on with some outdoor projects, dismantling an old fence near one of the classrooms and digging up the soil beneath it. This involved removing buried clay, transferring the soil into large sacks, and smoothing it over to prepare the area for future use. The physical effort was well worth it, knowing it would enhance the environment for Treloar’s students.
Creating Christmas Magic
Our most recent visit with Treloar’s saw a team of festive enthusiasts from Managementors spend the day decorating multiple areas for the Christmas season, including the grand tree kindly donated to the school, taking pride of place in the courtyard. Spending time talking with the team at Treloar’s whilst decorating gave an insight into the incredible work that the team do, and seeing the smiles on the faces of the students as the Christmas tree lights started to twinkle showed the joy that such a small act and gesture can bring.
Insight into Treloar’s World
As part of the day, we were given a tour of Treloar’s extensive facilities. Seeing the innovative equipment and supportive environment that the children use daily was both inspiring and humbling. It highlighted the critical role that donations and community support play in providing life-changing opportunities for these young individuals.
Building Connections
Charity days like these also offer an excellent opportunity for our team members to connect with each other in a new setting. For some, like one of our office-based colleagues, this was their first time participating in a charity day. They shared that it was a fantastic chance to meet others from across the business while contributing to a meaningful cause.
