Embracing excellence as a consultancy

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In 2016, the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) launched its new Consulting Excellence scheme. Two years on, and as 2018 comes to an end, it seems appropriate to reflect how Managementors is embracing the principles by which the scheme stands.

Ethical Behaviour

  1. We are responsible and good citizens
  2. We conduct our business ethically
  3. We foster an ethical culture

As a business built on honest values, key to delivering our services is building a strong culture which our clients can trust. To support this, recruiting the right team is fundamental, and as a team taking the opportunity to give back where possible. Through local community work, and fund raising efforts for Cancer Research UK, we have demonstrated our continued commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Demonstrating these marks of quality for our clients is reflected in our achievement of ISO accreditation for 5 consecutive years, and our recent success in becoming a Crown Commercial Service supplier.

Client Service and Value

  1. We provide excellent consulting services which deliver the outcomes clients seek and need
  2. We are transparent with clients and respond to their concerns
  3. We always strive to improve the value we can deliver to our clients

As a results based consultancy, it’s key that any project engagement with clients meets their needs and exceeds expectations. Our case studies speak for themselves in terms of delivering against those needs, but key to our consulting excellence pathway is that our projects undertake a facilitative approach; whereby the solution is not prescribed, but developed in line with individual client requirements.  Detailed analysis is undertaken to identify opportunities, and a project plan is drawn up to deliver sustainable change programs. Through structured project updates and milestone reviews, these updates provide a chance to address concerns and ensure steps are taken to deliver project success.

Professional Development

  1. We undertake training and professional development planning each year
  2. We promote strong core consulting capabilities and specialisms in our consultants and teams
  3. We support our employees’ career progression, professional development and welfare

For both our Trainee Management Consultants, and existing members of the operational team, Managementors has structured development plans in place to maximise the potential of our staff. Alongside this, external training and development courses are encouraged, with two of our consultants completing a course in Advanced Coaching for Organisational Consultants this year. Part of the Managementors business strategy is to develop our own consultants, building on their strengths to become key players in delivering client objectives – as such professional development is key to the business.

Heading into 2019

Over the next twelve months we plan to continue delivering against the principles of the Consulting Excellence scheme. Further to this, we shall be embracing new changes to enable us to go beyond our existing values. In planning for future business growth, and ensuring the continued development of our own people, 2019 will be an exciting year for Managementors as we restructure to operate within Practice led teams. This will allow us to further specialise within our core consulting industries, and provides structured development opportunities for our employees. Alongside this, we are looking at ways to offset and reduce our Carbon Footprint and, as always, plan to continue delivering sustainable change programmes for our clients, both existing and new.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
